Seven Emergency cases in August
In August, Meem handled seven emergency cases of lesbians facing abuse and violence, running away from their homes, or needing shelter and legal counseling.

Meet Our New House Fishies: Mee and M
Mee (left) and M (right) are the latest addition to our Womyn House, a gift from one of our members on Meem’s birthday. We love our queer fishies and they love us. Except, well, when our volunteers forget to feed them.

Meem attends the CSBR Sexuality Training Institute in Malaysia
Women for Women’s Human Rights in Turkey invited a Meem member to participate in a training institute on gender and sexuality held in Malaysia this past month. The training was organized by the Coalition for Sexual and Bodily Rights in Muslim Socities. Meem gave a presentation about Arab lesbians and networked with various Arab and South East Asian groups working on gender equality and sexual rights.
